All that furniture she bought had to be assembled, so we spent many hours poring over IKEA instruction booklets and fitting pieces together. Here's the dining room table in pieces before we got it all figured out. Check Robyn's blog to see the finished product.

Anyway, it's coming along. Little by little, we're emptying boxes and putting things away, and it's gonna be a really nice place for Robyn to live. One of these days she might even decide to start sleeping there!
In the meantime, we got a nice upgrade at our place. Remember the old harvest gold double oven that remained in the new, freshly painted kitchen? Well, a friend who had seen the kitchen overhaul in progress called last weekend to ask if we had replaced the oven yet. It turns out that he had changed out to a new stainless steel oven in his kitchen and had a white Jenn-Air oven to give away, and since we couldn't say no to such a deal, Ben and our benefactor spent Saturday afternoon taking out the gold monstrosity and installing the "new" white one. At least now our kitchen looks more "in sync" than it did with the old one---who cares if it's not the newest model available? The price was certainly right!

I wondered how that apartment could possibly be Robyn's! Thanks for setting us straight. :) And, the "new" white oven is definitely an improvement!
