Robyn's back in Houston! She and Ben and Tim drove all night Friday and pulled into our driveway about 5:20 a.m. Saturday. We unloaded her car, since it contained her valuable instruments, then we hit the sack to catch up on sleep. Saturday afternoon, on an unseasonably cold April day, we unloaded the rental truck into a storage unit and brought home the stuff that she might need to have close at hand, creating a new pile of mess in my living room. She's only been home 3 days and already I'm a week behind on household chores! Above is a picture of her bedroom BEFORE she arrived; below is what it looked like a scant 48 hours AFTER she arrived. The lump under the comforter beside Ginger is Robyn.

We spent some time yesterday checking out apartments, and we think we've found the place she'll end up living. It's called Settler's Ranch, and it's about halfway between here and the UH campus. She's already got several babysitting jobs lined up, and I think she'll start playing with Clear Lake Symphony next week. She's also introduced us to her Nintendo Wii, which is now hooked up in our den. All of us have gotten to try it out, and Angie even came over on her day off yesterday to play it some more.
