It's Official!

After five months of researching different music schools, four campus visits, three official auditions (and one MP3 audition), and four schools offering scholarships and/or assistantships, Robyn has received the offer that she really wanted---the Moores School of Music at University of Houston has awarded her a $10,000 fellowship to play in a graduate woodwind quintet and the Moores School Orchestra while studying for her Master of Music in Bassoon Performance. She's EXCITED, THRILLED, PUMPED, EXUBERANT (insert your choice of synonyms here) and ready to get moved back to Houston.

The hard part will be the actual move, since she wants to accomplish it YESTERDAY. With any luck she'll be able to sell her furniture and get relocated by Easter. Whew! We'll let her stay in our house temporarily, but she'll get her own place as soon as it's practical. We are looking forward to having her close to home again, and she's really looking forward to working her way into the musical scene in Houston.
