Our Little Farm

Spring is a wonderful season for growth. In 2003, Tim planted three pineapple tops, which are now in our back yard. One of them started growing fruit last fall, and the other two have just begun growing theirs. It's exciting to see tropical fruit growing right here in Houston!

Last summer, Tim planted two patches of strawberries in the back yard, and they are now beginning to grow some berries. These are supposed to be the giant variety, so they should get rather large, but right now they're barely identifiable. I have tried about a dozen times to upload a picture of the strawberries, but for some reason Blogspot won't accept any of them. So you'll just have to imagine them!
Bagel is growing, too, as puppies are wont to do. Now she's big enough to drink from Ginger's elevated water bowl.

She's really funny about wearing a collar, and "walking on a leash" looks more like "doing acrobatics at the end of a tether." Yesterday when I put a collar on her, she went into the corner and hung her head:

We're in the process of getting Tim & Angie (& Bagel & Slinky & Doofy)moved out of our house. There's just so much little stuff to take care of, like rewiring all the outlets in the townhouse, that it's gonna take a few more days. Tim's already planning what to plant in his new front yard!
