What a Week!

Robyn and I spent last week in Lexington visiting with a WHOLE BUNCH of family. All of Susan's daughters and grandkids were there, and even Carolyn & Waldie showed up on the way home from their holiday travels. We went to Gattitown on New Year's Day with the Morgan family and stayed there for almost five hours while we watched the snow fall outside. Robyn got to go to a Kentucky game at Rupp Arena with her cousins, and they even got to see the Wildcats WIN a game. Katie & David were kind enough to let us take over their basement for the week, and even Jonathan was hospitable in challenging Robyn to some "Guitar Hero" matches! Susan & I managed a couple of games of Upwords, and we all were entertained by the antics of two precocious little girls and one baby boy. All in all, the week can best be described as "wonderful," and the pictures will do more to show you how much fun we had.

Elizabeth and Brooke had lots of smiles for everybody all week long.

Happy New Year! Neither of them could actually blow the horns hard enough to make the noise, so they would blow and "hum" a sound through them!

Brooke's birthday is January 12, so we went ahead and celebrated it early. Naturally, the hats had Thomas the Tank Engine on them.

The girls "helped" Erin write on Brooke's birthday cake.

Then, as if the birthday cake sugar wasn't enough, we let the girls decorate sugar cookies. Amy attempted to show Elizabeth how to put a few sprinkles in her hand to transfer to the cookies.

Elizabeth, however, had other ideas and chose to dump the sprinkles out.

Brooke chose to skip the cookies altogether and just eat the sprinkles straight from the bottle!

The snow was an added bonus for us---and Jonathan got a day off from school because of it. The girls got all bundled up and went out to play in Elizabeth's yard.

Elizabeth started to brush the snow off the slide with her hands.

Brooke climbed up to the top and used another part of her body to clear the snow away!

Then they both made snow angels, which kind of looked like grass angels.

Bridger, our newest family member, stayed inside for some quality time with his Gran.

Robyn & Bridger agree on which team to root for!

Bridger is one happy baby boy!

Here are some pictures of the Morgan clan. Bethany really liked riding the carousel at Gattitown; that's Michelle and Luke behind her.

The four kids posed together---it's hard to believe Josh is in high school now!

Bethany let Robyn French braid her hair, then she put on her princess tiara that she bought with her tickets (and she got her hair cut above her shoulders a couple of days later).

Elijah & Luke are really growing up---Elijah's in 4th grade, and Luke will be 3 this month.

Luke loves his Mommy!
