"Dueling" Bassoons

I told you a little bit about Robyn's auditions this spring. So far, she had been to Pittsburgh and Los Angeles for auditions at Carnegie-Mellon and USC, and she will have to make another trip to LA to audition at Colburn. In a couple of weeks, she'll travel to San Antonio with the UH Bassougar (bassoon+cougar--too cute, eh?) Bassoon Ensemble to play at the TMEA convention. The weekend following TMEA, she and her friend, Theresa, will play a Concerto for 2 Bassoons with the Clear Lake Symphony. Yesterday, they practiced in my den, since last night was their first run-through with the orchestra. Robyn really hates it when I get out my camera and point it at her, so it was only with Theresa's encouragement that I was able to get anything but her backside in the pictures. Thanks, Theresa!
