Full of Surprises

We have a standing date for Sunday evenings to go out to dinner with Tim & Robyn, but occasionally it gets altered a bit. For example, last week I was playing at a local church on Sunday evening, so Ben took the kids out without me. Tonight, as we sat down at our favorite local restaurant, Tim asked me, "So, what did you think when you heard that I'd been skydiving?" I looked at him quizzically, he looked at Ben, and Ben remarked, "I didn't think it was necessary to cause Mom to worry over something that she couldn't control." In other words, Tim told them last week that he had gone skydiving with his friend, Scott, and neither Ben nor Robyn bothered to mention it to me! Hmmmmm, makes me wonder what else I've missed.....probably plenty! At any rate, Tim said it was "freakin' awesome," and he already prepaid for his second dive, which is sometime in the near future. Now we're all on guard to be praying for his safety!
