Pushing Pills for Peru

Our church has an ongoing mission project in Peru. A team of medical and support personnel are going again in October, and they'll be taking a lot of antibiotics and aspirin with them to distribute. In preparation, they asked church members to help by taking home large bottles of pills and counting them out into small bags that can be handed out individually. Ben brought home quite a few of the large bottles and spent several hours patiently separating the thousands of pills into sets of 30 or 100 or whatever quantity was specified. He set up a card table in the den where he could still watch TV while he was working with the pills. I've never worked in a pharmacy, but judging from the smell of large quantities of antibiotics, I can imagine that it's a sensory experience!

Ummm, I'm not sure exactly where the mission is. The project is called "Operacion San Andres," but that may not have any connection to the location.
