Grand Central Station

This has been the week for "getting things done before vacation." First, our contractor brought the drywall guy over. Tim's room was desperately in need of a makeover, so those two men managed to get the wallpaper off, patch all the holes in the walls, apply new texturing to the walls, and install new baseboard. Next came the painter, our friend Jim from church, who spent two days priming and painting the walls and all the trim. Then the carpet arrived, so two guys got to haul out the old, yucky carpet and install a new piece. Then the electrician and his helper came in and switched out all the outlets and the wall switch. In the midst of all the construction work, this was the week for the piano to get tuned, and it was also the week for our semiannual visit from the exterminator. Oh, and did I mention that I also had all of my oboe and dulcimer students? Ginger's gotten plenty of practice barking at the doorbell...

Maybe we'll have time to start moving Ben's stuff into his new office before we leave on the choir trip, then I'll take a picture of it!
