Random Thoughts

It's springtime in Houston. That means it's leaf-raking season. I know, most places the leaves fall off the trees in the FALL, duh, but here in Houston we have a large population of "live oak" trees which hold their old leaves until the new growth actually pushes them off. So we are showered with millions of little leaves every time the wind blows. I've discovered that Bagel is fascinated by the movement of my feet when I'm raking the yard; she loves to grab me around the ankle and test out her sharp little teeth on my skin. She's also decided that Ginger's tail is fair game, so she'll get a running start, jump for it, and grab onto it, holding on for dear life while poor, perplexed Ginger turns around in circles trying to figure out what that weight on her tail is. I've tried and tried to capture this with the camera, but I'm just not quick enough!

Here's a question: I wonder if beagle ear is anything like beef tongue?

Tim's condo deal is still pending; we're working on all the details of financing and repairs, etc. The townhouse is about a 12 minute drive from here and is quite large, around 1700 sqare feet. It has 3 bedrooms upstairs, 2 1/2 baths, and a 2 car garage out back. The front door faces into a grassy yard which is fenced off almost all the way around (open on one end only). I'll post a picture of it later.

March Madness will be here soon, and Robyn will get to enjoy some of the fun. Belmont's men's team won their conference tournament (GO BRUINS!)and a bid to the NCAA tourney, and the pep band is going with the team! They went to the A-Sun tourney in Johnson City, TN, last week and had a blast supporting the team. They've also been promised a trip to the women's NCAA if their team wins the conference tournament.

One final comment---here's a nice way to end the day:
